this still life hurt my eyes in more ways than one. my professor always enjoyed setting up mismatched still lifes. we had a fight during this painting, he wanted me to control my strokes and paint the objects as true to life as possible. i wanted to focus on painting them within the context of the painting itself. i also wanted to destroy the still life and dance of the remains. |
